AMAZING experience! During the second week of August I traveled from Ohio with family to see the whales here and this tour did not dissapoint. The crew is very experienced on the waters and hosting tour guides. I felt safe the entire time. 15 mintues after leaving shore we saw a whale breach. We were barely 300 ft from the shore and didnt have to travel much farther the entire trip. The tour guide said we were spolied because it was a day he's never experience in all his years! They always see whale but ours was special because the whales stayed to play! Two humpback whales came right to our boat and played for the entire two hour tour. Then two more joined the fun. We even got sprayed.
Great tour. You can see icebergs up close and even eat iceberg ice if they manage to net some. You also get to see whales and dolphins (big jumps if you are lucky). Other features include a sea cave and trivia such as how to mimic moose cry and insight on newfoundlander accent.
We had a wonderful day out whale watching. The whales were being shy but the crew or persistent. We ended up with really good sightings, quite a treat this late in the season! Highly recommend.
First class boat tour of Coastal North Newfoundland. We had an opportunity in late July to see a monster 90 foot iceberg, humpback whales, white beak dolphins, and countless gannets diving.The boat was professionally skippered and the interpretive guide was right out of National Geographic. You can feel a passion for nature on this tour that will last a lifetime.To all my Ontario friends - you gotta get on board this boat to believe it.
Highly recommended you take this tour. We had an unbelievable view of whales and icebergs. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job. Worth every penny
